Singaporean pop star, Sun Ho, sings Special Olympics theme song

CHINA (27 September 2007)—Several Chinese Web sites reported that “We Are Together” has been chosen as the theme song for the 2007 World Summer Special Olympics. The production of the music video, which features historical moments from previous Special Olympics events, was sponsored by Hong Kong Embrace International Music Fund Committee.

Selected from over 600 entries, the theme song was written by Qian Wu Jie and Hao Yong Gang. The two music artists who were selected to sing were famous Singapore singer-philanthropist Sun Ho, and local powerhouse singer Sun Nan.

The report said that the music video will make its appearance at the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics, and will be broadcast at major public screens and Shanghai’s Dragon TV channels.

Sun commented that the Special Olympics will allow the children with special needs to explore their potential. Eager to give a hand herself, Sun hopes to bring greater awareness to the Special Olympics and its causes.

The report then drew attention to Sun’s latest Mandarin album Embrace that was produced with the intention to nurture care among people in the world. It also stated that the album is already made available locally.
