Rising Star

Album sales soar for pop celebrity Sun Ho.

SINGAPORE (9 May 2007)—The surprising disclosure of Sun Ho’s difficult childhood has thrust her entire family into the media limelight, reported local Chinese newspaper Lianhe Wanbao. Sun said her husband is even boycotting her concerts in order to avoid being photographed. As a public figure, Sun said she understands the need for media scrutiny, but requests that space be given to her family members.

On a brighter note, sales of her latest Mandarin album Embrace are reported to be excellent, reaching 10,000 in Singapore and 15,000 in Taiwan. Sun also plans to release an English album in the USA.
