A Winning Combination

Sun Ho offers a unique aspect of entertainment and lifestyle trends with her successful blend of music and fashion.
USA (28 October 2006)—Billboard reporter, Michael Paoletta, reviewed Sun’s exciting foray in the entertainment world, acknowledging her success in dance clubs across America. With four English singles to her name, two of which topped the charts, the singer is now anticipating the release of her first full-length English album.
Commenting on her partnership with rapper-producer, Wyclef Jean, Sun shared, “After he listened to the finished album, he said he could add to it … I’m excited and nervous at the same time.” The much-awaited album also features an impressive collaboration with prominent songwriters and producers like Diane Warren, Denise Rich, Donna Summer and Desmond Child.
Apart from her music profession which has received significant approbation in large parts of Asia, this celebrity has carved out an unusual name for herself, having become “a popular face in branded entertainment throughout Asia.” The singer-cum-entrepreneur owns four multi-label fashion boutiques in Singapore and is the spokesmodel for Bejeweled and Ed Hardy in Southeast Asia. Her branding partners include True Religion Jeans and Ed Hardy Vintage Tattoo Wear.
With this combination in place, Sun and her management team are optimistic of the future. Her US management counterpart, Justin Hertz from JH Music in LA, noted, “Sun … brings a lot to the table. She ties music and fashion together as a revenue and lifestyle marketing platform. [This] opens up new distribution opportunities ... as long as everyone participates in what is brought to the table.”
To further sweeten the deal, representatives from Bejeweled and Ed Hardy are fully supportive of this new enterprise. Both brands are prepared to endorse her music upon the release of her English album and talks of creating a private logo and an exclusive clothing line for her remain especially promising. |
