Asian Pop Star Launches US Single in the Hamptons Making Appearances at Polo Match, Film Festival and Celebrity-Studded Parties

NEW YORK (7 September 2006)—It was a weekend befitting a princess: rubbing elbows with celebrities at the Mercedes-Benz Polo Match; making a quick stop at the Southampton Film Festival; hosting a birthday bash for famed celebrity photographer, Patrick McMullan and releasing her new US single, “Gone” at her own party hosted by designer extraordinaire, Nicole Miller. While SUN isn’t exactly royalty, she received the royal treatment for her latest US visit.

Arriving in Southampton, SUN was escorted to the Bridgehampton Polo Club for the Mercedes-Benz Polo Match, where she mingled with celebrities including Jared Leto, Harvey Weinstein, Russell Simmons and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. Flanked by two Asian gentlemen escorts clad in black, SUN was every bit the star. The ever-mobile SUN was whisked away into a stretch limousine for a quick stop at the Southampton Film Festival, where she shared some laughs with actor Matthew Modine. Traffic backed up on Main Street as passersby struggled for a glimpse of the glamorous beauty.

The highlight of her Southampton experience was being one of the honored guests at Patrick McMullan’s birthday party at the Jaguar Cain Estate. Hosted by fashion designer Nicole Miller, the party featured Chinese Dragon Dancers with a 30-foot-long dragon, celebrity DJs Paul Sevigny and Mike Rizzo, and SUN serenading shutterbug McMullan with “Happy Birthday” in Mandarin. SUN was the belle of the ball, perched on a four-poster canopy-topped bed poolside greeting the media, celebrities, socialites and well-wishers. After she sang to McMullan, she debuted her new single, “Gone,” while DJ Mike Rizzo mixed live. With remixes from top producers including Jason Nevins, Tony Moran and Ralphi Rosario, this beautiful ballad promises to burn up the Club and Radio Dance Charts very soon.

After a quick costume-change, the still-bustling SUN hopped into her limo and headed to yet another party in her honor already underway at the Cain nightclub. Amid flashbulbs galore, SUN made her entrance to the packed club, taking her in the VIP section. As “Gone” erupted over the sound-system, SUN and her entourage were feted by the crowd of well wishers as they danced the night away.

Once the fairy-tale weekend was over, SUN woke up to discover that “Gone” had entered the Billboard charts and is steadily climbing. As she prepares for the full-release of the single and upcoming album, SUN proved to the Hamptons crowd she surely shines.
