Flying High

SINGAPORE (25 July 2005)—Local tabloid, The New Paper, caught up with homegrown talent, Sun Ho, who was back in Singapore to attend the opening of her new boutique in Marina Square. Ever since she signed the contract with her US management company, Sun has spent a considerable amount of time flying in and out of Singapore.
The report also pointed out Sun's involvement in the launch of Hands United—a CD record by local Chinese, Malay and Indian artistes to raise funds for the tsunami crisis. The album's title track, One Brick, One Tile, is sung by three leading local female singers: Kit Chan, Joi Chua and Sun herself. Profit from the sales will go to Habitat for Humanity Singapore, a non-profit organization. Together with Cathay Pacific, both organizations have a target of $300,000 that will go toward building homes for families in tsunami-stricken regions.
Recognized as an active humanitarian herself, it is no surprise that Sun got involved in the project. “I've always been active in social work,” the big-hearted singer added.
